A trade union activist has ended her hunger strike

The demands of the imprisoned trade union activist Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk for more humane conditions of detention have been met, the Human Rights Center "Viasna" said.

It is known that Palina was transferred from Rechytsa temporary detention center to Homel pre-trial detention center-3, where she will stay until the trial. Now she will be able to send letters, parcels and money transfers again.

Palina was supposed to be released last summer, but she was sentenced to another year of imprisonment. In April, a new case was opened against the woman - again for "malicious disobedience to the colony administration".
