Trade union activists were shortlisted for the Human rights community award of Belarus

The Organizing Committee of the Human Rights Community Award for the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights in 2023 published the list of nominees. Among them are activists of the REP trade union.

The Belarusian Human Rights Community Prize is awarded annually for achievements in the field of human rights: a human rights defender, a journalist, a human rights campaign or an initiative.

This year the Human Rights Prize has a new nomination: "Solidarity in the field of human rights". This nomination, at the discretion of the organizers, will be dedicated to the memory of those who have suffered persecution.

The list of the first finalists includes the leader of the Orsha Independent Trade Union REP Vasil Berasneu, lawyer Uladzimir Labkovich and trade unionist and public activist from Brest Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk.

The awarding ceremony will be held in Vilnius on December 10.
