It became known about political repressions against the chairman of the pro-government trade union "Belprafmash," Aliaksandr Baloshka.
Information about the detention of the functionary came from a source of "Flagstok" familiar with the activities of the pro-government organization, who reported about the 10-day administrative arrest.
The secretary of the union regretfully confirmed to "Flagshtok" that Aliaksandr Baloshka no longer holds his post, and when asked whether he had been released, answered in the affirmative. In December, Baloshka's photo was removed from the website of the regional association of trade unions.
Data from «Viasna» database also showed that the chairman was punished under Article 19.11 of the Administrative Code ("Distribution, manufacture, storage, transportation of information products containing calls for extremist activity or propagandizing such activity") on November 29 by Yaraslau Paremski in Chygunachny District Court.
Baloshka, who started his career in 1985 as a mechanic at the Machine Tool Plant, gradually worked his way up and since 2005 has been engaged in professional activities. From 2005 to 2020 he recognized the first professional organization at the Gomel Machine Tool Plant. At least twice he participated in the organization of election campaigns as the head of the electoral commission No. 2 of Gomel-Selmashauskaya electoral district No. 32: in 2016 and 2019. At the beginning of 2020 he was elected senior manager of the regional organization "Belprafmash".
