An appeal in the case of the BKDP and the REP trade union will be considered in March

It became known that this month the court will consider the appeals against the verdicts handed down to the leaders of the democratic trade unions. The court will consider the complaints of the leaders of the Belarusian Congress of Democratic Trade Unions (BKDP) and the Belarusian Trade Union of Radio-Electronic Industry (REP).

Recall that in December 2022 Minsk city court sentenced the leaders of the Association of Trade Unions "Belarusian Congress of Democratic Trade Unions" - chairman Aliaksandr Yarashuk to 4 years in prison, his deputy Siarhei Antusevich to 2 years, accountant Iryna But-Husaim to 1.5 years in prison.

Hennadz Fiadynich, Vasil Berasneu, Vatslau Areshka

A few weeks later Vasil Berasneu, Hennadz Fiadynich and Vatslau Areshka, accused in the "case of trade union REP" were sentenced to 9 and 8 years in prison. It is known that the convicts were transferred from Minsk pre-trial detention center to Mahiliou.
